What is your favorite place?
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Sleeping Bear Dunes, anywhere where I can hunt for Petoskey stones!, all of Colorado, Acadia National Park, the Great Smoky Mountains, Paris, Lisbon, and being near my people (and beagles)! I have a LOT of favorites and keep adding to the list!
What is your go-to “feel good” song?
Oooh, so many: “Champagne Night” by Lady A, “One Step at a Time” by Jordin Sparks, “Whole Lotta Woman” by Kelly Clarkson (shaved my head to this song the day before starting chemo in 2018; such an empowering tune!), and “Cheeseburger in Paradise” by Jimmy Buffett (makes me reminisce about my parents when I was growing up and always makes me smile).
What is your favorite quote?
“It’s okay not to be okay.”
As a child, What did you want to be when you grew up?
A veterinarian, meteorologist/storm chaser, olympic gymnast (though I have a fear of heights, a fear of falling, and no discernible gymnastic skill set beyond a cartwheel), astronaut, or marine biologist. Though I grew up in Colorado, I have always loved aquatic life; especially manatees and whales.
What is your favorite way to move your body?
Dancing in the car and singing at an inappropriately loud volume.
Populations:
Kids, Tweens, Teens, Young Adults, Adults, Couples & Families

Haven and Health Consulting Group is a specialty pediatric practice with the mindset of focusing on the health and wellness of the family dynamic which will foster a safe space for our children to thrive. The goal is, as an independent contractor and board-certified pediatrician, to provide adjunctive care within a group of established therapists to aid in prescribing medications, when appropriate, for mental health and behavioral concerns of children and adolescents while fostering a better understanding, for both the patient and their family, of the complexities of parenting and being parented. It is a very unique role as a pediatrician that I have learned over years of practice is essential to the overall wellness of the family unit. This practice will also be focusing on supporting and aiding new mothers in navigating feeding (both breast and bottle) as this can be a time consuming and emotionally charged task that we often do not have adequate time to fully support in a busy general pediatric clinic. The goal will also be to provide informative group sessions for parents both with monthly themes (ie How to Survive The “Three-nager” for management of the common behavioral concerns at age 3, “What to Expect After Expecting” to discuss common newborn and feeding concerns, etc) as well as offering informal Q&A’s that parents may have for a general pediatrician while doing an activity such as painting or going for walk and talk chats. I will also like to have crafts available for our patients and their families to implement some of the behavioral techniques we discuss for healthy outlet management of “big emotions” such as “Make Your Own Break Box”, “Make Your Own Yell Pillow”, and having a sensory “Comfort Corner” in the office that they can try out to see the benefit of a safe and secure area to self-soothe when dysregulated. I am so very excited and very proud to be able to offer these services that I see such a need for in our community and offer them in a way that provides time for active listening and unconditional support without judgment.
